Rhinoplasty and Airway Reconstruction-Tip Definition and Narrowing the Nasal Base

Rhinoplasty is a common procedure and airway reconstruction is a common procedure. One of the more common reasons patients may want to choose to improve the appearance of their nose is to improve the shape of the nasal tip.  Often while improving the nasal tip, the patient may wish to improve the appearance of the nasal base or nostrils. A rhinoplasty allows subtle improvements in the nasal tip and base to give the nose a more refined appearance. Rhinoplasty is one of my favorite procedures to perform for patients. The operative surgeon has the opportunity to improve something that one has inherited genetically, but which they may not be able to improve simply through hard work or discipline. Often patients who wish to improve the appearance of their nose also wish to correct their breathing. Often maneuvers done to improve the appearance of the nose can also improve the nasal airway. Rhinoplasty procedures, are procedure with a high rate of satisfaction. The healing process takes time and continues to improve over one to two years post surgery.
